Mental Wellbeing

Understanding Your Body, Your Pain, and Your Surgical Journey.

Living with endometriosis often means navigating uncertainty—about your symptoms, your diagnosis, and your care. This uncertainty can take a serious toll on your mental health. Add in the emotional build-up to surgery, and it’s no wonder so many people feel overwhelmed.

During our co-design sessions, a key theme that was identified, was the fear before surgery, of not receiving a diagnosis or answers about symptoms. The evidence suggests that people with less fear before surgery, experience better outcomes after surgery.

At Matilda, we believe knowledge is power—and comfort. Our mental wellbeing pillar is designed to help you feel informed, supported, and emotionally prepared. You'll learn what’s actually happening in your body, why pain can persist even after surgery, and how your nervous system plays a role.

We provide:

  • Simple, evidence-based explanations of your condition

  • Tools to reframe unhelpful beliefs and manage fear

  • Support around the emotional rollercoaster of diagnosis (or no diagnosis)

  • Weekly check-ins to help you feel heard, not alone

We don’t just treat your symptoms. We support your whole self—because healing starts with feeling safe, validated, and understood.
