Connect

Weekly Group Calls, Community Threads, and Shared Lived Experience

Endometriosis can be isolating. The pain can be invisible, the symptoms are misunderstood, and navigating surgery can feel like uncharted territory—especially if you don’t have a diagnosis. But connection can be a powerful tool.

At Matilda, we believe no one should have to go through this alone. That’s why our Connect pillar is here to offer real support, from real people who get it.

Here’s what Connect looks like inside the program:

  • Weekly group calls with clinicians and peers to ask questions, reflect, or just listen in

  • Community threads for specific conversations- movement, nutrition, mental wellbeing, and rest

  • Real stories from people who’ve walked this path—raw, hopeful, and human

  • A private, safe space to feel heard, validated, and supported before and after surgery

  • Led by our Community Lead, Anna, who has a lived experience.

Research shows that social support improves surgical outcomes, reduces stress, and even helps manage chronic pain. But beyond the evidence, we’ve seen firsthand what happens when people feel seen: they exhale, they open up, and they feel supported.

Connection is more than a feel-good extra. It’s one of the most important parts of recovery—and it’s something we prioritise.
